Marianne Neary Philipps has been breeding rottweilers in northwestern Spain with the kennel name Anfield since 1989.

Our small kennel was founded with three very special rottweilers, one imported from the Elsden's kennel in the UK, Chesara Chasing Sunbeams and two imported from Germany, Titan von Bickesheim and Ulfa von Rauchfang.

These three dogs combined solid working bloodlines with excellent conformation and these characteristics have been passed on to their progeny with many wins in the showring as well as with dogs working in schutzhund trials, in the Austrian police and in agility competitions. Our pups can turn their paw to anything!

Our mission has always been to breed high quality, healthy puppies with correct conformation and stable temperaments with the capacity to excel in both the show ring and in working competitions, this is achieved through a professional approach to dog breeding, based on the careful study of bloodlines alongside a rigurous selection process.

As such we have only bred a few litters in these past 18 years, 19 to be exact, that is nearly one per year. We are not a commercial kennel!

Rottweilers are a slow maturing breed and require a kind but firm environment in order to grow into well- behaved and balanced adults.

At Anfield rottweilers we are always willing to help new owners and share our experience. Rotties also need regular exercise and motivation, especially while growing and you should carefully consider wether you can provide a puppy with a kind, but firm and active environment before purchasing, if not, please choose another breed.
